These large leaf print paintings were created using burdock leaves. Burdock is native to the Midwest and it's root is edible.
The prints were created by layering acrylic paint on the leaves and printing it onto watercolor paper. The prints were then painted into to create details and highlight the delicate veins of the leaf.
Each painting is 11"x14" inches.
The watercolor paper features a deckled (torn) edge and has been hand stitched to another layer of watercolor paper to complete the painting.
Each print is beautifully unique and seeks to capture the spontaneous beauty of nature.
